Lately everyone seems to be taking part in the entire "healthy lifestyle" craze. New gyms and eco markets constantly appear on the streets because there's a huge need for their services. Juicing is getting more popular and the term "health freak" has change it's definiton from an invective to a desired nickname. I get it. We live in the century where instagram theme and visual appearnace are mistaken with man's worth. We all wana belong and be considered beautiful, examplary but that does not excuse our actions. Yep I know that the need of belonging is indeed natural, and is one of the higher needs in Maslow's pyramid. BUT the fundament of the pyramid are physical needs such as hunger. So how should we satisfy them? However we please. Both eating oatmeal and pizza for breakfast is okay. Sure you need to have a BALANCED diet and provide all the necessity substances and minerals to your body, but let's not make such a big of a deal out of a slice of pizza. Healthy diet (imo) is a diet where you're in charge and you feel comfortable with whatever you eat. Healthy diet is when you don't feel guily after treating yourself with a pizza, but you also enjoy fruit and veggies every once in a while. Healthy diet is when you have positive relationship with food and what you eat doesn't affect your mental health in any negative way. If eating all clean and raw makes you happy, feel good and energized go ahead. If you feel good living that perfect "healthy lifestyle" it's great. I'm not saying it's not and I'm not promoting obesity. Simply what I am saying is eat whatever you like, treat yourself and remember that food is supposed to be a pleasure not the source of stress (you probably have enough of that already). So just make things balance and fitted with your own invidual self. Don't force the healthy lifestyle on yourself when you know that your favourite food is pizza. It's only going to bring negative emothions to your life. So healthy diet? It's any possible food schema that fits you, your lifestyle, your needs and provides the needed components to your body. Basically eat some cake every once in a while! :)
I really hope you can tell what my main thought is because it's a very expanded topic and trying to fit all my thoughts in this post was a bit of a challenge.
